# Attio

> Sync Attio companies, people, and deals, and enrich customer profiles with company-list fields.

## Overview

Connect Attio to bring your CRM records into Quivly's customer profiles. Companies become customers, people become contacts, and deals become opportunities. You can also map fields from Attio company lists to add account-specific information to existing customers.

The connection is shared across your Quivly organization. This CRM integration reads data from Attio; it does not write changes in Quivly back to your Attio records.

## What syncs

| Attio object | In Quivly | Available information |
| - | - | - |
| **Companies** | Customers | Company name, domains, description, categories, location, LinkedIn, and mapped fields |
| **People** | Contacts | Name, email addresses, phone numbers, job title, company, and mapped fields |
| **Deals** | Opportunities | Name, stage, value, owner, associated companies and people, and mapped fields |
| **Workspace Members** | Source users for owner references | Names and email addresses used to resolve CRM ownership |
| **Company-list entries** | Additional fields on existing customers | The list fields you choose to map, such as an account status or renewal information |

Workspace Members help Quivly interpret owners from your CRM. Syncing them does not invite those people to your Quivly organization.

Core CRM records have an initial historical import and ongoing synchronization. Company-list enrichment is configured separately, after the parent companies have synced. Check **Logs** for progress rather than assuming that completing the connection means every record is already available.

## Connect Attio

Before you start, make sure you have access to the Attio workspace you want to connect and can complete its connection authorization.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the integration">
    Go to **Data → Integrations**, select **Attio** in the CRM section, and open **Configure**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete setup">
    Select **Set Up Integration** and follow the embedded connection flow for your Attio workspace. Complete the setup before closing the flow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the connection">
    Return to Configure and confirm the connected state. An installed connection offers **Manage Integration**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review incoming data">
    Open **Logs** to check sync activity for the supported objects. Allow the initial import and processing to complete before checking customer profiles.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Map CRM fields

Field mappings determine which Attio values populate Quivly's customer, contact, and opportunity fields.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the object configuration">
    Go to **Data → Objects**, select the object you want to configure, and open **Configuration**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the source">
    Select **Attio** and the corresponding source object. For customer records, start with **Companies**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and save mappings">
    Map the available source fields to the Quivly fields you want to populate. Select **Save Mappings** and confirm the **Saved** state. An **Unsaved changes** badge means your edits have not been saved.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the result">
    After processing, open a customer profile and check the mapped values, linked contacts, and opportunities. Use Logs to investigate records that have not appeared.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Once a primary mapping is saved, the integration and source-object selection are locked. Contact support if you need to change the primary source.
</Note>

For mapping concepts and matching records across systems, see [Field Mappings](/field-mappings/introduction) and [Cross-System Linking](/field-mappings/cross-system-linking).

## Enrich customers from company lists

Attio lists can hold information specific to a workflow, such as renewal status or onboarding progress. Map those entry fields to Quivly customer fields while keeping Companies as the primary CRM source.

This workflow supports lists whose parent object is **Companies**. List entries enrich the customer associated with their parent company; they do not create a new customer on their own.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Configure Companies first">
    Confirm that the Attio company records have synced and that your Customers object uses the Attio company mapping.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a company list">
    In **Data → Objects → Customers → Configuration**, use the list selector beside the Attio source. It includes **Companies (primary)** and your available company lists.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Load the list fields">
    Select the list you want to configure. For an unconfigured list, Quivly imports sample entries so their fields are available in the mapping editor. Wait for the sample preparation to finish.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the list mapping">
    Map the list fields in the same editor and select **Save Mappings**. Saving a list mapping opts that list into subsequent enrichment. Lists with saved mappings are marked **Configured** when the list choices load.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify customer values">
    After list processing, check a customer whose company belongs to the list. Select **Companies (primary)** to return to the company mapping, or choose another list to configure its fields.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Save your edits before switching between Companies and a list. If you switch with unsaved changes, Quivly asks whether to discard them.

## Monitor and manage the connection

Use the Attio **Logs** tab to review object sync status, inspect incoming events, and investigate errors. **Refresh** reloads the displayed status; it does not force a new source sync.

Use **Configure → Manage Integration** to update or uninstall the connection through its management flow. Uninstalling stops the connection's future use; it does not delete the customer records already imported into Quivly.

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Why don't I see any company lists?">
    Check that Attio is selected in the Customers configuration and that your Attio workspace contains lists whose parent object is Companies. Lists for other objects are excluded. If Quivly reports that it could not load lists, check the Attio connection and reload the page.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why are there no fields to map for a list?">
    Wait for the sample entries to load and check that the list contains entries with values. If preparation fails, check the connection and try selecting the list again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why hasn't a list entry updated the customer?">
    Confirm that the list mapping was saved and that the parent company has synced into Quivly. List enrichment waits for that customer to exist. Then check processing errors in Logs. Saving mappings is separate from completing the data processing.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why is a CRM record missing or linked incorrectly?">
    Check the connection, object mappings, and incoming events in Logs. Review the company's domains and record identifiers used for matching. See [Customer Information Not Linking](/troubleshooting/customer-information-not-linking) for cross-system troubleshooting.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I use an Attio list as the primary customer source?">
    Companies is the primary Attio source for customer records. Company lists add mapped information to those customers without replacing that primary source.
