# Choose what Plays can read and change

Give a Play extra apps for lookups, and review the full action access granted by each enabled app.

Use **Apps this Play can read** to add apps for lookups without allowing changes. Apps whose actions are enabled can also be read. The Play's own selections determine its available tools; a Skill's tool list does not grant extra access.

Turning on an app or Quivly area now enables all its available actions, including actions added later. Plays previously configured with only some of an app's actions receive that app's full set. Review these settings before publishing, especially in **Auto** mode. Slack sends and webhook sends remain individual choices, and protected changes still require review.

See [Play action and approval settings](https://docs.quivly.ai/product/plays.md#creating-a-play).
