Best Practices
Start with a clear purpose
Start with a clear purpose
Define what question your dashboard answers before adding widgets. A focused dashboard is more useful than one that tries to show everything.
Limit widgets per dashboard
Limit widgets per dashboard
Aim for 6-10 widgets maximum. Too many widgets make dashboards slow and hard to scan. Create multiple focused dashboards instead.
Put key metrics at the top
Put key metrics at the top
Position your most important metrics and charts at the top where they’re immediately visible.
Use consistent date ranges
Use consistent date ranges
Keep date ranges consistent across widgets for accurate comparisons. Use global filters when possible.
Name widgets clearly
Name widgets clearly
