Quivly Enrichment helps you understand a company’s business, find relevant stakeholders, and prepare for customer conversations. Use it to research company profiles, hiring, technologies, people, and public posts alongside the customer information already in Quivly. Enrichment is a built-in research capability. Use it through Ask Quivly, or select its tools when creating a Skill. In the Skill editor, the tools are grouped under Company and people research.

What you can research

Available research tools include: Some company and people searches also offer Latest Data variants. These perform a slower lookup for more current information. Available tools and returned details can vary; a lookup may not have every fact you request.

Research in Ask Quivly

You can request research directly without creating a Skill first.
1

Identify the company or person

Open Ask Quivly and include the company name and domain in your question. For a person, include their company, role, or a known profile link to help distinguish them from people with the same name.
2

State what you need

Ask for the specific facts and the format you want. Quivly chooses among the research tools available to your workspace.
3

Review the result

Check that the response describes the intended company or person. Review any source links provided, the dates of the information, and details marked as unavailable before using the research in a customer conversation.
For example:
Research Acme at acme.example before our account review. Summarize its industry, headcount, funding, and open roles. Keep public company facts separate from our renewal and health data.
To find potential stakeholders:
Find people working in customer operations at Acme, acme.example. Summarize their current roles and identify which details are unavailable.
If the match is wrong, provide a more specific domain or profile link. You can then ask a narrower follow-up, such as checking open roles in one location or researching a known stakeholder.

Make research repeatable with a Skill

A Skill is useful when your team needs the same research format for account reviews, stakeholder discovery, or meeting preparation.
1

Open the Skill editor

Go to Configuration → Skills and create or edit a Skill.
2

Write the research instructions

Describe the company or person inputs, the questions to answer, and the output you need. Ask the Skill to separate public research from internal account facts and identify missing information.
3

Select research tools

In Tools, search for Company and people research. Expand the group and turn on the individual tools your instructions need. For a company brief, you might select Company Profile, Company Tech Stack, and Job Postings.
4

Publish and use the Skill

Publish the Skill when it is ready. In Ask Quivly, type / to select it and provide the company or person to research. You can also use a published Skill in a workflow Skill step. See Skills for the publishing workflow.
In workflow Skill steps, the selected tools determine which research tools the step can use. In Ask Quivly, a Skill adds instructions while the conversation retains Ask’s broader available tools.

Understand the results

Public research adds context about a company in the wider world: what it does, who works there, what it is hiring for, and which technologies it may use. Your connected Quivly records describe your relationship with that customer: revenue, contract dates, health, usage, support, and conversations. Use internal account records for questions about your own customer relationship. Public headcount, funding, and hiring data do not establish what the customer pays you, how much they use your product, or whether they will renew. A missing or failed lookup means the information is unavailable. It does not mean the company has no employees, funding, jobs, or customers. Research can also be incomplete or out of date, so verify consequential details before acting. Research results do not automatically update customer fields or create CRM contacts. Treat the response as information to review and use in your work.

Troubleshooting

Clear the tool search and check the available groups in the editor. If the research group is still absent, contact support to confirm availability in your workspace. You do not need to create an external MCP connection for this built-in capability.
The Skill retains a previously selected tool that is no longer available. Check the explanation shown for that tool and select an available alternative that answers the same question, or adjust the instructions. Contact support if the tool is required for your workflow.
Names can be ambiguous. Add the company’s domain, a profile link, or more specific role and location information, then request the lookup again.
Ask for a narrower lookup or retry the failed request. If the information remains unavailable, leave it as unknown and verify through another source before relying on it.
This guide covers research requested through Ask and Skills. A research response does not establish an ongoing sync or automatically populate your customer records.
